Hello! My name is Madison Kortman and I will be PVMA’s Secretary this year! I am a senior double majoring in Animal Science with a concentration in Companion and Exotic Animal Biology and Zoology with a concentration in Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology. I am also a member of the Honors College and Lyman Briggs. Over the summer I worked as a veterinary assistant at a small and exotic animal clinic near campus. On campus, I work in the Fish Pathobiology and Immunology Laboratory. My current goal is to own a small and exotic animal practice, however, I love multiple different areas of veterinary medicine, so I am excited to see where the journey takes me. Outside of academics I enjoy playing polo, traveling, reading and exercising; fun fact I did my first triathlon over the summer!
