Hello, my name is Sophia and I am PVMA’s President this year! I am from Sterling Heights, MI and an incoming senior majoring in Animal Science with a concentration in Pre-Vet. I love to be super involved on campus and am the Co-President of MSU’s Pilipino American Student Society (PASS) and the founder of Undergraduate Association of Minority Pre-Veterinary Students (UAMPS). I am currently a Veterinary Intern at Michigan Humane in Detroit, which built my passion and love for shelter medicine. My goal is to become a shelter veterinarian, provide resources and education to underrepresented communities, and help increase diversity in vet med one day!
