Hello, my name is Sydney and I will be serving as this year’s PVMA president! I am from Chesterfield, MI near Lake St. Clair. This is my senior year as an Animal Science major with a pre-veterinary concentration, and I am applying to veterinary school this cycle! I have dual minors in Bioethics and Pharmacology and Toxicology. I am also a member of Lyman Briggs and the Honors College.

 

I work as a veterinary assistant at the MSU Veterinary Medical Center ER/ICU, and I am a research assistant in the Ernst Lab, which is currently doing research at MSU’s Swine Teaching and Research Center.

 

My goal is to work in emergency medicine, potentially as a mixed practitioner for small and large animals. When I am not studying or working, I love to go hiking, read, watch hockey, and bake.
