Community Service Chair
Maria Gojcaj

Hello, my name is Maria and I will be serving as your community service chair this year! I am from Novi, Michigan. I am a junior majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife with a pre-veterinary concentration and a pharmacology and toxicology minor. While I was back home for the summer, I worked as a veterinary assistant at two small animal clinics, shadowed two equine veterinarians to gain more experience with horses, and presented my research on fresh dairy cattle and immunology and won first place at ADSA 2025. In between all my responsibilities, I also was able to travel up north multiple times this summer and enjoy the outdoors a ton. This year I will be working at the MSU Dairy TRC and will experience the new facility first hand. Clearly, dairy cattle are one of my favorite animals to work with! My goal as a veterinarian is still unknown, but as I gain further experience in different aspects of veterinary medicine I feel that mixed animal medicine would be a great fit for me. My hobbies include reading, fishing, traveling, and playing board games with friends. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me, I always love to lend a helping hand!
