Advice...

"Take advantage of all of the amazing opportunities PVMA has to offer.

Explore and find your passion, but keep your mind open to all areas of veterinary medicine.

Get quality experience across the board. Also, broaden your horizons by taking an opportunity to travel abroad...it's a double plus if you can get veterinary experience abroad as well. Finally, keep a log of your veterinary experience to make it easier when writing your vet school applications."

-Erica Ward, DVM

"Quality over quantity. The best experiences you can have on your resume and application are those where you forged a meaningful relationship with the professionals that you worked with. It's not about how many different experiences you've had, but the time and effort you've put into the ones you have pursued."

-Megan Ahearne, MSU Veterinary Student

Applying to Vet School...

"If you have questions about admissions (including how to better yourself for acceptance), contact either Dr. Abreu or Donna Grooms as much as you need to. Build a relationship with the admissons advisors, let them know you are applying and meet with them at least one year before you plan to apply to vet school."

-Kellie Rizzolo, MSU PVMA President 2016-2017,

APVMA Outstanding Senior 2017
