Hello! My name is Amanda Gentry and I’ll be PVMA’s Fundraising Chair this year! I am from Ann Arbor, MI and I’m a senior majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary concentration, as well as a minor in Pharmacology & Toxicology. I will also be the Social Chair of Animal Welfare Club this year! At home, I work as a Veterinary Assistant at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital of Ann Arbor. On campus, I work as a Student Assistant at the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab in the bacteriology section. This summer I also had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Enrichment Summer Program, where I got a crash course demo of vet school and shadowing experience at the VMC. My goal is to become a mixed animal veterinarian and open my own practice that provides good quality care for accessible prices at all stages of a pet’s life. Some hobbies of mine include playing video games, keeping collections (ex. manga), reading, and listening to music. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
